Boston is a great city full of life, students and plenty of things to do. Here you can see my top ten restaraunts, pubs, clubs and live music venues after living in Boston.

1. Henriettas Table in the Charles Hotel is a fancy restaraunt which has a full range of fresh wholesome local food. 2. Cragie St Bistro which is a bit the off the beaten track in Cambridge, degustation night is the best where you eat what you are given fresh from the kitchen. 3. Middle East restaurant and live music venue especially for alternative grungy music. 9. The Druid Pub, an Irish pub in Inman Square has a great atmosphere and friendly staff that always made us feel at home. 10. John Harvard Pub in Harvard Square is always buzzing when a baseball game is on as there are such a huge range of beers to choose from.
So there you have my best 10 - check them out if you are looking for something to do.
If you want the Boston tourist historical experience first then do the Freedom Trail Walk which any good hotel or tour office will give you a map for. It will give you your bearings of the city. Plenty of shopping and photo opportunities of the old churches and monuments from the 1700-1800's along the way.
Another good way to see the city is to get on a bike. The trail along the river from Boston right up to Cambridge is fantastic and you can see if there are any events at "the Hatch" or take a picnic to have on the riverfront or ride into town for a proper lunch.
Shops at Newbury and Boylston St or in Harvard Square have something for everyone from op-shops to the top fashion houses and big mall at the Prudential Centre. I loved Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie for something a bit quirky. |
