Wow! Sony Playstation 3's are giving tradtional supercomputers a run for their money. I found this article interesting. It shows how a cluster of Sonly PS3s running Linux are being used to compute some serious scientific calculations. The costs of the PS3s are significantly lower than a traditional super-computer.

Mmm.. makes me start to think that perhaps a PS3 running Linux would be a better bet for a home media/file server?
