Eddie Aikau Big Wave Contest

One reason to visit Hawaii's North Shore is to check out some big wave surfing. If you get lucky enough to be around for "The Eddie" contest it's defnitely worth a watch... you get a real buzz.  

Here is some shots from the 7th Jan 2002 which Kelly Slater won. This is the Eddie Aikau invitational surfing contest at Waimea Bay on the North Shore, Hawaii. It was an amazing day with amazing waves.
