Reasons to surf in the Mentawai islands |

 Surfing in Indonesia takes you to some remote places. This is in the Mentawai Islands... it used to be uncrowded... now it's crowded. You can still get it good, though.... Clean, just a few mates and hopefully a few insane waves.
The question is will you brave the crowds, malaria, typhoid, cros, sharks, earthquakes and tsunamis.... sheeeeesh... just a few of these waves and it's all worth it  Some folk may choose to stay at home. Perhaps they will get run over when crossing the road... some others may choose to give it a go. Check out some photos
