Movement classes for Down Syndrome Print E-mail
Tuesday, 13 March 2007
Movement classes are a great way for Down Syndrome children to develop tone in their muscles.

Most children with DS will be having physiotherapy sessions to cope with delays in physical development often caused by low muscle tone. To complement physio, I found even at 10 months old, Kayla really responded socially and physically to the challenge of the climbing equipment and keeping up with the other kids in the group. I can highly recommend the use of such groups with any child with DS from early infant age.
