Here are some books I have that I can recommend to all parents of children with Down Syndrome.

Read the reviews and buy them now from us and save!

Babies with Down Syndrome. A New Parents' Guide. Second Edition. Edited by Katen Stray-Gundersen.

An extremely useful book given to all new parents (including myself) by the NSW Down Syndrome Association covering all aspects of DS from health, growth charts and early intervention ideas.

Communication skills in children with Down Syndrome by Libby Kumin

Fine Motor Skills in Children with Down Syndrome by Maryanne Brune

Gross Motor Skills in Children with Down Syndrome by Patricia C Winders

A series of books with practical ways to develop skills in children with DS, I found these books really helpful to monitor Kayla and see what stage should be next.

The Memory Keeper's DaughterThe Memory Keepers Daughter by Kim Edwards</p>I enjoyed this story of one family's experience of giving away a child with Down Syndrome and appreciated my realisation of how far we have come in accepting people with DS.

Expecting Adam
Everyone gave me this novel about one woman's spiritual journey through pregnancy knowing she was having a child with DS. Kayla was newly diagnosed and I just found I could not relate to this book but it was an interesting read.
